Disney Frozen Polar Nights: Cast Into Darkness Jen Calonita 2022-07-19 Anna, Queen of Arendelle, has been tirelessly preparing for the Polar Night's Celebration that is held every year to welcome the time when the sun doesn't rise in the Polar Circle. She has been working so hard, her fiancé Kristoff suggests she take a night off to visit her sister Elsa, the Snow Queen. Anna loves the idea. Accompanied by Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf, Anna reunites with Elsa in the Enchanted Forest. After telling spooky stories around the campfire, Olaf swears that one of the creatures of their tales has come to life! Who else is responsible for the sudden onset of storms and the earlier than normal darkening of the skies? Why else is everyone starting to become so forgetful? Anna and Elsa join forces to determine what is going on. Together they recall Kristoff's terrifying tale about a princess who turned into a draugr--an undead creature that steals memories in an effort to make others forget the misdeeds it committed when it was alive. Is it possible that Kristoff inadvertently unearthed memories of a draugr, and thus unleashed the monster upon Arendelle? Anna and Elsa must uncover the real story behind the tale before everyone in Arendelle forgets who they are and is cast into darkness forever....
The Dramatic Monologue Elisabeth A. Howe 1996 In The Dramatic Monologue, Elisabeth A. Howe defines the characteristics of the subject as a genre, clearly differentiating it from the lyric poem. One feature she discusses is the double voice of the dramatic monologue - the reader hears simultaneously the voices of the poet and the speaker. This dialogical effect distinguishes the dramatic monologue both from lyric poetry and from narrative poems written in the first person. The use of a persona allows the poet to distance himself or herself from the poem. Howe investigates the origins of the dramatic monologue before examining poems by Browning and Tennyson, both masters of the form and both largely responsible for its popularity with late-nineteenth-century readers and poets. She offers close readings of Browning's "The Bishop Orders His Tomb at Saint Praxed's Church" and Tennyson's "Tithonus". Later chapters include detailed analyses of dramatic monologues by twentieth-century poets, including Ezra Pound's "Marvoil", T.S. Eliot's "Portrait of a Lady", and poems by Robert Frost, Randall Jarrell, and the contemporary poet Richard Howard.

Princess Labelmaker to the Rescue! (Origami Yoda #5) Tom Angleberger 2014-03-04 In Princess Labelmaker to the Rescue!, the war against the FunTime Menace—aka test prep—wages on at McQuarrie Middle School. Our heroes have already won one battle, with the help of surprising ally Jabba the Puppett. But to defeat the Dark Standardized Testing Forces they’re going to need an even bigger, even more surprising ally: Principal Rabbski. With pressure from great forces—the school board—will this former enemy join the Rebellion, or will her transformation into Empress Rabbski, Dark Lord of the Sith, be complete? With this topical episode, Tom Angleberger demonstrates once again that his “grasp of middle-school emotions, humor and behavior is spot-on” (Scripps Howard News Service). Praise for Princess Labelmaker to the Rescue! "Fans will devour this satisfying and nicely realistic conclusion to the story set up in the previous volume. Characters grow, and non–Star Wars pop-culture references seep in. Readers new to the series are advised to go back to the beginning; they won’t regret it." --Kirkus Reviews "These books are more popular than a working droid on Tatooine. Expect the usual army of young Jedis to come out swinging for a copy." --Booklist

Jane Austen: An Unrequited Love Dr Andrew Norman 2010-12-26 Jane Austen is regarded as one of the greatest novelists in the English literary canon, and recent film and television adaptations of her works have brought them to a new audience almost 200 years after her untimely death. Yet much remains unknown about her life, and there is considerable interest in the romantic history of the creator of Elizabeth Bennett and Mr Darcy. Andrew Norman here presents a fresh account of her life, breaking new ground by proposing that she and her sister, Cassandra, fell out over a young clergyman, who he identifies for the first time. He also suggests that, along with the Addison’s Disease that killed her, Jane Austen suffered from TB. Written by a consummate biographer, Jane Austen: an Unrequited Love is a must-read for all lovers of the author and her works.

The Tragedy Series Benjamin Dewey 2015-03-17 Welcome and good tidings, ladies, gentlemen, and all manner of upstanding, sentient beasts. The book you hold in your hands (pinchers, tentacles, paws, etc.), is a guide to avoiding the more common pitfalls that appear after parting ways with lady luck. You need not be duped by a collection of rats in an elaborate costume, dressed as a handsome suitor, or experience the embarrassment so many have already endured after bringing their ordinarily well-behaved, large sea mammal to an art gallery only to see cultural treasures defiled by inadvertent clumsiness arising from a frame better built for the confines of Poseidon's realm. More than five hundred unfortunate results of the manifold paths our life may offer have been helpfully diagramed for you along with positive affirmations of this veil's wonders and much more! Alexander the Great once remarked that "upon the conduct of each depends the fate of all" and his words may be taken as injunction to obtain this volume for your very own to ensure the continued security of our very civilization. Benjamin Dewey's The Tragedy Series is an addictive collection of funny-sad comics based on the popular Tumblr blog.

Water+Ink Coloring Book Winter 2020 Kim Winberry 2019-07-22 I begin my paintings with a sketch and application of colorful/bright pigment and water to the paper. I disrupt the blends with salt or water, watching as one color blossoms in water, as another color starts to travel across the paper. I utilize India Ink to demarcate changes, also adding add swirls other artifacts, in the aim to achieve whimsy. My coloring books are my paintings! I run the paintings through filters and drop the color from them, leaving the lines so that you can add your own color. But wait, there's more... I've added an Augmented Reality component to this. Wonder what colors I used for that piece in the corner there? Take out your phone, download the Zappar app from your app store and "zap" the code. What happens? At the very least an image of the original painting will pop up and you can see what it looks like, side by side with the coloring page. Beyond that, you'll meet Mist, my liaison to the AR world. She will be a recurring character in all my AR work. Stay tuned and enjoy.
