Paper used in this video: 7 or 8 squares with a side length of 7 cm or 2 3/4 in
    Finished model:
from 7 squares: diameter of 8.5 cm or 3 3/8 in, depth of 5.5cm or 2 1/8 in
from 8 squares: diameter of 10.5 cm or 4 1/8 in, depth of 1.5cm or 5/8 in

This video describes how to fold a fantastic origami star "Stella Pitti" designed by Francesco Mancini.

Francesco kindly gave me permission to make this video accessible to you.
I'm using normal origami paper in this video, but slightly heavier paper works even better.

For example, Tant is very suitable.

If you fold the model from 8 squares it can either be slightly 3D or completely flat.

If you use 7 squares, then the star is much more 3-dimensional.
