Stephanotis floribunda syn.
jasminoides (Madagascar jasmine, waxflower, Hawaiian wedding flower, bridal wreath) is a species of flowering plant in the family Apocynaceae, native from Malaya to Madagascar.
The name derives from the Greek ‘stephanos’ crown and ‘otis’ ear which refers to the arrangement of the stamens in the flower which (supposedly) are ear shaped.
It has the white color, delicate shape, and light fragrance make stephanotis popular for wedding and corsage work.
