"Papercut" by Linkin Park - (C) Warner Bros.

    Records 2000
"Imaginary" by Evanescence - (C) Wind Up Records 2003

I created this mix in late 2008 using Garage Band.

I was sitting in my room with the door closed, and in the living room my dad was playing Imaginary on the stereo.

It was muffled, so I thought it was "Papercut" by Linkin Park.

It wasn't until I opened the door that I realized what song it was.

And so I sat down with my new MacBook and tried putting them together.

It turns out their tempos are exactly the same, so it was possible without changing the speed of either song (which Garage Band can't do anyway).

I had to modify a couple parts and loop some things obviously because the Linkin Park song is shorter, but otherwise there aren't many changes, and hopefully most aren't noticeable.

I wanted to create a mixed music video using the "Papercut" video, but Evanescence doesn't have a video for "Imaginary", so I've just combined the album and cd art into these images (using Paint.NET).
Video done with Final Cut Express.

For years I've wanted to hear a collaboration with Linkin Park and Amy Lee, or perhaps Evanescence with Chester.

This comes close and proves that it can work, but if you liked it...
I'd recommend posting comments on the Linkin Park site and other pages begging them to collaborate with her on a single.

Enjoy the music and please COMMENT and/or REVIEW.
