Russell Tovey is an English actor with numerous television, film and stage credits. Tovey is known for playing the role of werewolf George Sands in the BBC's supernatural drama Being Human which started in 2008. In November 2011, Tovey announced he would be leaving Being Human to work full-time on his BBC Three sitcom, Him & Her. Tovey is also known internationally for his portrayal character of Rudge in the both the original London and Broadway stage version, and later the film, of The History Boys.

Sarah Solemani is an English actress and writer, best known for starring in BBC Three's series Him and Her. Solemani is the daughter of a mathematician and a social worker and grew up in North London. She was a member of the National Youth Theatre, starring as Elaine in the West End theatre production of The Graduate. After passing her A levels, she took a gap year before reading Social and Political Sciences at New Hall, Cambridge and graduating with a MA. She joined the Footlights and became social secretary during her first year, replacing Dan Stevens, and then vice president. Her contemporaries included the members of the sketch group Cowards, Jonny Sweet and Nick Mohammed.

Solemani was an attached writer to both the Royal Court Theatre and the Young Vic Theatre. She was awarded third place in the Barry Amiel and Norman Melburn Trust/New Statesman Prize for New Political Writing on the subject: "Do women's rights remain the privilege of the developed world?" in 2005. She also contributes to the New Statesman.

Her first major TV role was as "Becky" in BBC Three sitcom Him & Her, which was first broadcast in November 2010. Two series have been filmed and a third has been recommissioned for 2012. In 2011, Solemani filmed a Channel 4 pilot comedy show, Coma Girl, alongside Katy Wix and Katherine Parkinson. Solemani and her comedy partner Olivia Poulet are presently writing a sitcom for the BBC, to be produced by Charlie Hanson.

In 2012, she appeared as Maryam in the play The House of Bernarda Alba at the Almeida Theatre from 19 January to 10 March 2012.
