Canon Papercraft - E5 Series Shinkansen "Hayabusa" Train Free Paper Model DownloadThis vehicle paper model is a E5 Series Shinkansen "Hayabusa" train, designed by Canon Papercraft. The Hayabusa is a high-speed Shinkansen service operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East) between Tokyo and Shin-Aomori in Japan.Its front car has a distinctively long nose measuring 15 meters. It utilizes state-of-the-art technology in many of its features, such as its ability to control the sound and vibration created when a high-speed train exits a tunnel, its high speeds with reduced noise and a comfortable ride, and its excellent level of safety.

The E5 series is a Japanese Shinkansen high-speed train type operated by JR East on Tohoku Shinkansen services since 5 March 2011. A total of 59 10-car sets are on order, with three sets in service in time for the start of new Hayabusa services to Shin-Aomori in March 2011.

Technology incorporated in these trains is derived from the experimental Fastech 360S train tested by JR East. Maximum speed will be 320 km/h (199 mph), although services will initially run at a maximum speed of 300 km/h (186 mph) until 2013.

E5 series trainsets were initially introduced on the new Hayabusa services between Tokyo and Shin-Aomori from 5 March 2011, operating at a maximum speed of 300 km/h. From 19 November 2011, a total of six E5 series trainsets were in operation, with sets also used on some Hayate and Yamabiko services. Hayate services operate coupled with E3 series Komachi services, and are limited to a maximum speed of 275 km/h. From the start of the revised timetable on 17 March 2012, E5 series sets were also introduced used on some Nasuno all-stations services.
